Jesse,

Having the image of you laughing at McDonough on top of the stand at B10's your sophomore year I would like to take a moment to point out that karma is a b*tch. Sucks to be injured your senior, doesn't it?

Karma indeed, looks like almost the identical injury.

I've been thinking the same thing all week. You seem to forget, it all started at CHA that year when Jesse beat Matt & all the rumors started then about Matt's health. Jesse was a douche then too but what would you expect with Perry as his coach?

I didn't wish an injury on him...but I'm sure not feeling sorry for him now that he is injured.

On the other hand I felt terrible for Hunter last night. He was giving it everything he had but just couldn't go.

I for one applauded hunter last night. It takes a lot of guts (and not much smarts) to wrestle when both ur arms hang by your side.

Agreed. Watching Hunter yesterday made me sick to my stomach. Two completely different types of guys. Hunter gained my respect. Can't say the same for the other guy.

Hopefully, a healthy Matt McD will get to meet up with Delgado in International Competition.

Even though they are both 2 time Champs, Matt McD > Jessie Delgado

It's obvious to me that the competition just caught up to Delgado. You just have keep improving or you get left behind.

Bravo!

As much as Delgado depends on funk and exposing his own back to keep from getting taken down, Id think his FS aspirations are limited!

It would be fun to watch McD have at him again while healthy though.

He clearly outgrew 125. Should've moved up to 133 and moved Richards down to 125. The cut was too much to do for 5 years. Lol.

Bravo!
Could somebody tell me the reference here?

These were the knocks on McDonough when he fought through an entire season with a torn labrum. IIRC he sat out only 1 match the entire season.

A lot of people were saying that about McDonough when he was struggling his senior year

Before McD's injury was confirmed his senior season, people were saying (especially anti iowa people) that the above wa one of the reasons for McD's performance.

Plus, Delgado said in a BTN interview, after beating an injured McD in the dual meet in Champaign, that "good technique beats funk every time". Ironic, as McD was always a very basic wrestler who was a great scrambler but not at all a "funky" guy. Extra ironic because Delgado relied on funk (and obviously stalling) for most of his career.
