Am I in the minority to say I dislike him?

Their post game presser he lashes out at people who questioned whether they should've been in. Yeah I know they won their first game, but I will say it. Their RPI and total body of work, they should not have been in.

I lived in Syracuse for 9 years and have probably posted this before, but here goes.
A friend invited me to play golf at his club. The next fairway over was what appeared to be Jim playing alone. I asked if that was Boeheim and the response I got was yup, that's Jim and all his friends. Apparently it was a standard club joke.

I think when Iowa played Syracuse in the 1980 NCAAs, Boeheim was their coach. It might have been his first year but he was there a long time. We won that game on our way to the Final Four.

Jim is classic old school and stood up in my wedding about 2 years back. Very dry sense of humor but is guarded at times - especially with what he went through several years ago. Big Civil War buff and we look forward to hitting the sites in April. He isn’t the type to complain about the officiating which is refreshing after seeing your Monsons, Carmodys, Jimmy O Briens et al.

Reminds me of a story Johnny Orr told at an event. He while at Michigan had a golf outing with Gene Keady and Bob Knight. They caught up to a really slow group with player being assisted on every shot with many swing and misses. The group were long on the green as well. The group waited at the next tee for them to pass. Bob barked at them for slow play. A golf coach told them the golfers were all blind and took them out once a month just for a few holes. Embarrassed, Johnny offered to pay any cost meals cart or whatever. Keady offered to pay for the next outing. Bob barked if they are blind they should play at night. Not sure if true but possible

He is a prick and has been forever. Started with me with his condesending comments on Iowa back when had the Louis & Bowie show.
I think the university quietly told him that this is your last season, you results lately have been average and it is time for a transition to a new coach. He is probably like "I am freaking Jim Boeheim" and f-you. Hence, the "ask the university" back and forth trying to confirm if he was retireing.
