Republican Jim Gilmore’s campaign couldn’t even scrape up more votes than a joke candidate named Vermin Supreme in Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary.

That’s on top of finishing behind Republicans Mike Huckabee, Rand Paul and Rick Santorum, all of whom have dropped out of the race.

Gilmore pulled in a whopping 125 votes on Tuesday — 113 more than in Iowa — but still far fewer than Vermin Supreme’s 243 write-in votes on the Democratic side.

The performance artist is a perpetual presidential candidate who has been trolling other candidates as well has having advocated for giving free ponies to Americans. Earlier this week, Vermin Supreme followed Texas Sen. Ted Cruz with a toothbrush and asked him “why do you hate America?”

There is some good news for Gilmore, as he pulled in more votes than one joke candidate, Deez Nuts, who failed to get a single vote.

Following the dismal New Hampshire showing, Gilmore stated the obvious to the 10 supporters that showed up at his primary party.

“I don’t think we’ll win this thing, but let’s see if we can get some recognition,” Gilmore said, according to USA Today.

The continued lack of support shouldn’t be surprising considering two of the top five questions Americans were asking about Gilmore on Tuesday were “Is Jim Gilmore still running” and “Who is Jim Gilmore,” according to Google Trends.

So far, the highlight of Gilmore’s campaign came the one time he trended on Twitter.
