Jirehl Brock tells his story

Brock recounted high-pressure recruiting he received from Minnesota coach P.J. Fleck.

"When Coach Little says people were calling every hour, it was (Minnesota) calling," he said. "They would text every 30 minutes. It was a lot to take in. You don't want to be rude about it. You try to be as nice as possible. They were the hardest school to say no to.

That should pretty well end the whole "we beat out the hoks!!!!$!$#!$!!!!!!" talk from Cyclone fans. But then again, it probably won't.

Sounds like a real solid commit to Ames

"It didn't really matter, because I'm really comfortable in my decision to go to Iowa State. I know some schools will try to get me to change my mind, but it probably won't happen."

If Brock has a great senior season, I would guess there is a better than 50% chance he ends up somewhere other than ISU. Unfortunately, it won't be Iowa either.

that would be the easiest school for me to say no to. JFC. As a parent it would piss me off as well.

Have seen him play a couple times, not sold on him at all seems like a good player for a fcs type school.

Good for Brock, seems like a great kid and I will definitely follow his progress and hope he does awesome besides when he’s playing against the Hawks.. I hope he lays a flat egg and he goes on to rush for a ton of yards against other opponents
