Joe Kelly commits to Iowa
West Liberty senior Joe Kelly has committed to wrestle for the University of Iowa. The three-time state medalist announced the decision on social media Friday. His father, Mitch, was a four-year letterwinner for Iowa from 1984-87. (Pretty sure his Mitch is a Professor at Iowa, so this should be a free ride.)

"I have decided to continue my academic and wrestling career at the University of Iowa. Thank you to all of my coaches, family, community, and teammates who pushed me to this point. I can't wait to be a Hawkeye."

Kelly enters his senior season with a 104-20 career record. He was third at 152 last season, reaching the state finals as a sophomore. He placed eighth as a freshman for the Comets.

Pretty sure he has one if not two sisters that play volleyball for the Hawks...

Just 1 sister plays volleyball. There is another one that is a movie star. Ok that's a inside joke she is on the 2 different commercials for the university.
Joe is a Great kid and will work his tail and continue to get better and better.
