Joe T running into Reuvers screen foul late

If only he stuck out his fist and swung at the lower region....... wait, some worthless d-bag actually did that? Must be a Wisconsin player...

Bush league.

How many times in basketball do you see a 6’ 185 pound guard take out a 6’11” 235 forward?

That was a flop. God i hate Wisconsin basketball.

Reuvers sold it, but Joe hit him pretty good. And Toussaint is rather strong with a low center of gravity. Nothing wrong with that, if people are going to set screens it's always good to attack it. Ended up working out for Iowa as Reuvers missed the front end of the 1-1.

Again, with the way Wisconsin hacked us all game, I'm glad JoeT drove thru Ruevers on that screen.... I'm glad Luka got up and got that T after that Wisconsin player was still talking crap for whatever reason.... I'm glad that Connor is ready to throwdown whenever someone gets in his face.... This type of "we're never gonna back down so F*ck You" attitude has been what's kind of missing in Fran's previous tournament teams

And then on the next one, Reuvers moved and held him up for a good 2 seconds. It was right in front of us in the curve behind the Wisconsin bench. Crowd was tired of all the b.s and let the refs and Wisconsin have it.

Their style of play earns a lot of fouls and fires up the crowd. Seems to work against you much more than help. Have to wonder if the seat under Gard is warming up.

JoeT fights over a lot of those screens and it usually involves a lot of contact. There is no Doubt Reuvers flopped, but a few flops like that are going to get called on JoeT due to his aggressive defense. At least it is defensive foul and you don't lose a possession. Hopefully JoeT will draw some moving screen calls along the way.

I'll defend the officials on this one. Reuvers sold it like most players will, but I thought it wasn't a bad call. Not a bad decision either by Joe to challenge the screen, as that does become a moving screen if Reuvers started to move, but he held firm.

Agreed tho that I don't believe the contact was actually sufficient to knock him down.

Their style is difficult to play against, especially if they get the lead. Badgers do a good job of generally not reaching/grabbing blatantly, but what they excel at is bodying guys everywhere. When offensive players go to the basket or shoot, Badgers will put their chest right into the guy and try to at least appear to be going straight up. In the second half especially, it was crucial that refs started calling Badgers for bodying guys away from the ball. It got Iowa into the bonus sooner.

Ya a little different mental make up than Dom Uhl

Joe changed this team from an effort standpoint being a true two way player. I think Connor brought an attitude adjustment.

I agree Touissant has helped with that but Wieskamp's and Connor were already bringing more attitude and were playing tougher D last year and carried over - and Fredeick has done much of the same as Touissant and Garza has gotten a lot better on D since last year to the point he is not a liability that could offset his offensive game.
