Joe Toussaint

who is that trainer?! very motivating guy. Joe should be a great asset this year.

Joe T is going to be a hell of a guard before he leaves Iowa. He's so quick that even a respectable jump shot will result in some broken ankles, and a lot of defenders lost in no man's land between doubling down or coming up to defend the shot.

Couldn't get the video to play, but I trust Joe to show a ton of improvement this season. He was really coming on at the end of last season, doesn't lack for confidence and seems to have the drive to succeed. Just hope we're going to have a season this year.
I had trouble with a lot of videos playing recently. Finally found a post that said to delete your cache in the browser. It worked for me. Over half the twitter videos wouldn't play before!

I regularly do that. It's odd how some videos play and some won't. I've seen other posts where people make the same complaint and those videos play fine for me. Maybe using a different browser.

Probably the best blend of quickness and strength since Woolridge, who was a streaky outside shooter also. But teams just couldn't stop him from getting inside and his strength gave him such great balance.

I noticed Joe's jumper doesn't have a lot of lift to it, and his release is just normal speed (unlike Bohannon's). It makes me think given his size it could limit him to mostly wide open jumpers but not really contested jumpers like Bohannon often shoots. But as long as he is accurate if you have to close out on him you are toast because he's so good at getting around you once you've given him a crack to exploit. Needs to work on his shots in the paint - runners, floaters - as he'll get a ton of chances if he can hit them.

Joe was a ton of fun to watch last year and his game had elements we have not seen for some time. He’s tough and has a chip on his shoulder driving him to get better. I have no doubt he will come back improved from hard work.

I was really impressed with his willingness to rebound at his size. He’d been down on the block battling for defensive boards against big men.

if we can keep everyone in the fold between Joe, CJ, Ulis and Perkins that could be really exciting the next couple of years.

I thought Toussaint really changed the effort level of the team when he came in after the Western Illinois run in the second half.
Hopefully, Joe settles down as he did last night and doesn’t force things too much. Outside of a couple TOs, JT had a very good game.

JB has been not good. He’s not hitting open shots and his D is porous. He has to have one of those to be seeing extended minutes. Hopefully the shots start falling as I don’t have any confidence on his D.
