Speaking of Joe his HS coach Gary Belger lives in Houston and works for Andy Frain security, Had a good conversation with him tonight at the Rice/UTSA game. Since there were at max 300 people there it was pretty quiet. He was working security last night at the Houston/Tulane game but the UH arena is set up differently and I had no chance to visit with him. He also works Astros games. Will probably get a chance to talk to him again.

I would say he was well prepared for it after playing with no fans his last year at Iowa.

They will be in Europe next year making more than that. Joe will not be in the NBA in the future. Since you mentioned Garza, he likely won’t be either.
I see Garza is playing in a D League game tonite. I give Aaron White credit. He knew what his chances of much success in the NBA were. So he has elected to remain playing overseas.
Garza has several million guaranteed. I don't think Aaron white ever did.
Did White ever sign an NBA contract. As far as I know he never did. Played in some summer league games

I've kind of learned to never underestimate Garza and what he can accomplish. When he came to Iowa as a freshman...did anyone say..."wow...we have the POY in the making...he's going to absolutely dominate."
Garza just needs to learn to be more physical down low. He's got something that NBA teams need...a big who can stretch the floor and open the inside to penetration. I think he sticks in the NBA.

He also needs a new coach at Detroit. And with the Pistons being 12-40, he might get that wish.
