Joe Wieskamp

Nice to see he can flush it. Definitely wasn't expecting the style points on the first one. Thanks for sharing.

In case anyone didn't know, the guy posting the videos is their head coach and a former gray teamer (96-97).

We talking top 100 prospect at this time? How does he stack up nationallynow that the high school season is underway?

Those stats are impressive .....and he isn't half way through high school yet.

I read somewhere he was rated in the top 25 nationally for 2018. Also saw highlights over the summer where he made like 92 three pointers out of 100 (practice but still impressive). I didn't realize he has hops and is athletic too. For a sophomore in high school, he looks very impressive.

So if my math is accurate, by the time Wieskamp is a true sophomore at Iowa, Tyler Cook will be a senior, Connor a junior, and Patrick a true freshman? Hard not to get excited about a potential starting lineup of PG- CM, SG-JW, SF-PM, PF-TC, C-?.

Second video was impressive to catch bounce pass and go up strong! Go Hawks!

Your math might be a little off. He is a sophmore in high school, Cook is a senior in hight school....so it will be the same in college, unless he redshirts in high school or college.:p

I think the core of the team is pretty clear, and when you have pieces like Moss, Hutton, Kreiner, Pemsl, and Bohannon to add into the mix; there is a lot of potential. Now if we can leverage this into a few more out of state Top 100 types, we may have the emergence to get recognition as a perenial touranment team that has name recognition with recruits instead of having to identify talent early and build relationships.

Wait, if JW is a sophomore now and TC is a senior now, assuming there is no redshirt in college, then I'm correct in saying they will be a sophomore and senior at Iowa, respectively, right?

Right.

Ogelsthree says hi.

I guess The Wheez is a similar height, similar skin color, and has a similar smooth jump shot...but that's where the resemblances end. This kid looks special, and is only going to get stonger and better with his work ethic and God-given gifts.

Lol you've had a couple terrible posts in this thread. The fact that Weiskamp can actually put the ball on the floor already make him a better player. The kid has better athleticism as a sophomore than JO could ever dream of.
This. I liked Ogelsby, but don't recall him EVER dunking the ball. Weiskamp is already a much better athlete, and just a high school sophomore.

I guess my only other post about a concern of another school coming and taking him away is a bad concern.

as for the 92/100 it humorously reminded me of Josh Ogelsby, I didn't mean to say he was going to be JO. Sorry you all got so sensitive about a joke.
