Every clip I've seen of Depp talking from the trial makes it seem like his regular talking voice is is Hunter S Thompson impression for the Fear and Loathing movie. Like with what happened to Andrew Dice Clay. Just became that guy.

My favorite Depp movies. If you have a few minutes, check out the videos of him visiting children’s hospitals in character as Captain Jack Sparrow. Good stuff. Seems like a good guy.
