Two of our five starters will play in the NBA if Jok continues his current ascension. He has looked completely different the last three games and, assuming, which I do, his high level of play continues than we have two guys who can always get a good look.

This team can go a long way in March.

Jok by comparison to current NBA 2's lacks in ball handling, defense, and strength. He'll need to vastly improve in those areas before he even starts to get looked at. I think if he works at those areas he may get a sniff.

Think of it this way - what would happen if Jok had to guard Kobe Bryant on a nightly basis, even a broken down Kobe?

JU on the other hand possesses the size and length the NBA loves. I do think he has the ability to guard a Melo or Durant and could probably handle his own offensively though I don't see him as an elite offensive player in the NBA.

Is Jok an NBA 2? I think he would more likely be a 3, not that there is a huge difference. He is already strong enough and his 3 point shooting translates to the NBA. The biggest question to me is stamina, he still gets tired rather quickly.

I think they both play in the league. There's always a spot for guy that can knock down 3's... Just ask Kyle Korver. Pete is probably already a better defender than Korver

Jok is a legit 6'6, in great shape, with a spring in his step. You saw those dunks, and the post up three point play. Big time moves.

I agree with all of the responses here. I think he has improved dramatically in all of those areas and is continuing to do so.

Hell yes he can play in the league if he turns his last three games in to his permanent mentality. With Fran coaching him I like that bet.

Players who can shoot well, especially from long range, and get their shot off...are valuable in the NBA...more and more the game is drifting to run and gun and three point shooting...can't have enough of them. Both players are mobile, as well.

Jok's a 3 and D 2 guard.

I think Uhl could be the next Iowa guy in the NBA, and that would be 5 years in a row with a draft pick. Last draft pick before Fran was Haluska in 07.

If Pete is going to make it he will have to be a player like Kover that comes off screens. Using screens is a skill in an of itself, then catching, squaring and releasing.

I think he has a decent shot because he has the catch and release down, just needs to continue to improve in off the ball movement and setting up the defender.

He will get allot of practice at this next year.

Jok and Uthoff both will play in the NBA. Both fit the "3 and D" type of player that the NBA wants.

Im not sure Joks there yet as a defender. Hes showing good anticipation in shooting passing lanes and has very quick hands but D is mostly about staying between your man and the basket.

He will have to continue to get better at that.

Jok leads the B1G in steals.

His positioning and anticipation have improved significantly this season over last season.

I can't remember the last time he got beat 1 on 1 by a ball handler. He plays great team D.

What exactly needs improving??
