Jok

He must tired out every game when he attracts 2 or 3 defenders all the time. Just hope he doesn't get injure when opponents played tough D against him. He's assisting to open teammates too.

He has done a tremendous job scoring, but is he also going to lead the team in rebounds this season? Who would have thunk that? Having a terrific senior year so far.

Just passed Matt Gattens on the all time scoring list

I've always wondered what kind of numbers Gatens could have put up playing under Fran for 4 years instead of just one. He played those 3 years with Lick's offense. His numbers went up across the board his senior year with Fran (I know White, Marble, Uthoff, Jok all have done same but think it was different)

Or you have to wonder if Gatens had been on one of the better McCaffery teams, it would have put us over hump of making an impact in NCAA

Best shooter I have ever seen in an Iowa uniform and even more impressive because he's the other team's number 1 defensive target every night. He's having to take a lot of contested and difficult shots because of that attention not to mention the endless bumps, arm-bars, hand checks, mugs, etc. to slow him down. His makes are usually nothing but net and a lot of his misses are halfway down. So fun to watch.

Although far from perfect his improvement as an all-around player from year 1 to 4 has been remarkable too. Really hope he gets a shot at the next level but it's so tough and competitive.

Any rebound Jok gets is a rebound the other team doesn't, so that's a good thing. Now if Jok leads the team in rebounds at the end of the year, I don't think that's necessarily a good thing for Iowa.

Everyone contributes in rebounding, but the big boys are supposed to be getting the lions share of those, so if Jok leads the team it most likely means we're getting beat on the boards overall. Frankly, it's probably by design at this point, as our rebounding has been less than stellar in the losses to good competition (haven't looked at all the stats from those games, but I think that is the case). I would think Fran would rather have Jok off and running out in transition for pull-up 3's or driving to the hoop (not his strong suit IMO - but he's a good foul shooter if he gets fouled in the act).

Now if Jok leads the team in rebounds at the end of the year and we're winning the battle of the boards game in and game out, then win-win for sure.

Very nice win against Iowa State. Didn't think this team had it in them. Well done.

Jok takes the most shots and is always ready to follow up a miss. His quickness gets tons of rebounds. Our bigs are setting picks and jockeying for position and Jok's speed and jumping ability puts him in a position to rebound more often than our bigs. I don't see that changing much as the year goes on.

Happy to see him not forcing as many shots while doing other things to effect the game positivly like rebounding and getting assists.

Moss and Jbo have helped take some of the defensive attention while allowing Pete to play the 3 which is easier on him.
