The team finished +9 without him on the floor & +2 with him on the floor. We were -8 to -5 with him on the floor throughout most of the game. All the ft's at the end skewed that number.

I love Jok but he doesn't seem healthy yet & team is playing good without him. Not sure why he's in there until he's fully healthy.

Just rusty. He wasn't getting his feet and shoulders squared up on the few shots he took.

He's not in game shape. Still believe this team needs him to finish the season strong. Hopefully he's learned he doesn't need to carry the scoring load with this team. Hopefully sitting helped him learn more about this team and the role he needs to play.

He's a nice ft option at the end of games and he spreads the floor. He did grab some boards which we need badly. A defensive liability, a turnover waiting to happen, stalls the ball, and at times wants to do too much.

We' re a better team with him, but he needs to change to adjust to what we are doing now. He can make good passes. If he'd forget the trying to beat double teams and quickly move the ball our offense could become very hard to stop.

He said he learned at the NBA camp that the key to rebounding was just a relentless desire to get the ball. If he could teach the kids that he'd be invaluable.

I was just happy he didn't force up shots.

I think you'll find similar results almost every time you have a star returning to the lineup. How'd MSU, for example, do last year when Denzel Valentine came back? I believe there was a 20-point loss to Iowa . . . @ East Lansing. Everything doesn't go in a straight line.

There's an adjustment to be made when a star returns from injury, and it can't all happen at practice, so I believe with this game in the books, things could be rollin' just in time for the big road trips next week.

Agreed, glad he didn't force shots and he did rebound well.

The defense though. Very frustrating.

This I also remember after a few games with Valentine back they tore it up and put it altogether, hope the same happens with Jok

That and you gotta go out there and give 110%. You try to play good, you want to play good - I think they played pretty good.

Jok is a scorer & defenders need to account for him @ all times. His presence spreads the court & with quick ball reversal creates open looks for others. His shots will fall- appeared to be fatigued as the misses were short.

Quick ball reversal is not usually what happens though.

We run him off screens sometimes but mostly hes been isolated or used in high ball screens.

When he looks to pass off the ball screen it has been effective though.
