Jaleel and Isaiah are Cousins, but not cousins.

Jok looks terrible early. Not moving much and missing badly. He got number 14 though.

NBA ball screen offense. Shooters are to stay behind the arc to create space for ball screen to create advantage. If shooter's defender is drawn to help, shooter gets a shot.

Summer league can be tough for shooters. Game rhythm is usually bad. The guys who fare well in summer league are ball-dominators and bigs who can catch and finish. Everybody else usually struggles to find their footing.

Only 5 mins for Jok, pretty much means New Orleans isn't seriously looking at him as a potential roster guy.

Pete hoisted two 3PT shots and missed. IMO he didn't look slow on the court. He also made a nice save on a ball going out of bounds and got it to a teammate. He had a rebound, an assist, and a steal in 5 min of play. I'd say that's not too bad for his first NBA style game! There are other games to be played, so I'd give him the chances he'll get.

He should exceed Nigel Hayes' numbers when he's done. This is what Hayes did for the Knicks:
"In six games, including two starts, Hayes averaged 4.3 ppg on 41.4 percent shooting. He also posted 4.2 rebounds, which ranked third on the team." That's it. However, he posted 13 PTS in his final game.

I will expect a lot more from Jarrod, but we should as he has a lot more experience now. Let's stay positive with Pete, because we all know what a confident and hot shooter he can be. Pre-game, the announcer said "Keep an eye on Peter Jok".

Pete seems to be carrying some extra weight and I have heard some rumblings about a lack of work ethic. I hope that is not true, but he will make a lot of money overseas in all likelihood.

Loved jok, was, is a great shooter but always thought he was a little on the lazy side and his defense showed it. Bash away:confused:

I agree with what you are saying, but no bashing necessary. Pete hasn't looked or played like the guy who said in a tweet that the Pelicans "... won't regret it!" To me (and me alone), he looks like a shell of the player we know. He looks unsure of himself. He was high on the Pelicans and I heard they had hopes for him, but to be honest, I haven't seen the hustle needed at the next level.

I got trashed for saying it right after the season. He's a pure shooter, not much else. He was an all-time Hawk, but some overrate him.
