The champ went on Takedown Wrestling to talk about his thoughts on Regional Training Centers (like the Hawkeye Wrestling Club) and how he wants all of the talent to come back together under one program, a sort of Foxcatcher 2.0. He made it sound like he would rather coach USA in freestyle over being a college coach, which really speaks to how much he wants USA to be #1

I suspect Burroughs would be a tremendous USA freestyle coach. Given his international success, I think he may be better suited to staying in international wrestling. That said, he'd have tremendous cache as a college coach and recruiter. Kind of scary to think of that. Don't mind saying that's one reason I'd prefer to see him stay on the international scene rather than coaching at the college level.

Unless of course he decides to coach at Iowa!;)

I heard JB's interview on the radio today. That guy is a damn stud. He wants nothing but for the U.S. to return to dominance. Gable to Burroughs, that appears to be the succession plan for U.S. wrestling ambassador.
