Jose Rodriguez =#futurehawkeye (am I missing something)

I am now being followed on twitter by "Jose Rodriguez", I assume b/c I follow a bunch of wrestling sites.

So, I went to Jose Rodriguez's twitter page (linked) and it says "#FutureHawkeye". Which would be awesome if that means "#Future(Iowa)Hawkeye" does anyone have any information on this or can confirm what I am seeing?

This kid appears to be from Apple Valley. The one going to Ohio State is from Ohio.

I can't find any information on this kid. Who can lend some insight?

Pretty sure this Jose is friends with Gross. I thought he was taking a JUCO route or something like that. I am not sure if he will end up at Iowa or not, but he has had "#FutureHawkeye" in his Twitter bio since at least this past summer.

There is another Jose Rodriguez who is currently ranked in the top 100 and he is going to Ohio State. Same name, different people.

His resume is not that accomplished. No way he would win the spot if he could make 141. Carton would be clearly better,.

Sorry, that was just a little attempt at humor. Barring a stud JUCO 141 (are there any out there) it's gonna be the Topher show at 141.

I kind of like what I saw from Topher this year (didn't see him that much though). He has Mike Kelly syndrome a bit - making bad decisions, but I like the effort and aggressiveness. Seems to be an OK athlete. If he can work on his strength, technique and decision-making, I wouldn't mind seeing him in the lineup. Needs to improve though.

For those who have seen him wrestle more than I have, does he have the athleticism/ability/trainability to get to AA status for us?

Way more athletic than Kelly IMO. He seemed kind of short/small at 141 which might be his biggest issue. He has some good skills, needs to put it together.

Didn't mean to compare him to Mike Kelly on athletic ability. More of a comparison to the bad decision making Mike Kelly. Seems to have a bit of fight to him like Mike does though.

Got ya, IMO he is not as bad as Mike at poor mat choices. I think he needs another level of mental toughness in general, that belief he can go with anyone and then doing it. He is not as consistent or tough as he can be in all positions.
