Tremendous story on the "Outlaw".
I especially enjoyed this little nugget, I suppose it was HawkeyeReport! :)

Robby Jewell said his brother has an unusual routine after Hawkeye football games. “The first thing he does is go online. He loves to read that negative stuff, and then it’s: ‘I’ll show you,’” Robby said. There was a chatroom once where they mocked Josey and Bo Bower as being the 'future' of Iowa’s linebackers. He couldn’t wait to shove that in their face.” Not literally, of course. But he sure did.

This is an Amazing article, a rare and I am certain true insight into the personal side of a great Hawk. As much as I have little respect for the Des Moines Register; Mark Emmert knocks this out of the park.

I'm totally going to start a Josey Jewell sucks thread closer to kickoffs...however at this point it can only be tongue-in-cheek.
I'll join you ... I'll write very out-of-character things. Pissing off Josey for the good of the team ... I'm up for it!

Had a source tell me he wasn't sure if the coaches held JJ out of most spring ball to protect him or all his teammates,He was joking kind of I think. He said he is 100% all the time.

An absolutely terrific story/article. Maybe my favorite part...that and saving his family's farm.

Two coaches escorted Josey to his parents after the game, but he already knew what he was about to hear.

“I think he was your 12th man today,” Bob Jewell recalled telling his son.

“You’re goddamn right he was,” Josey replied, "I saw him out there."
