FIFY.His shooting form looks great. I think a higher percentage should be possible.

Rivals.com: Rivals Football & Basketball Recruiting - Iowa lands 2022 in-state guard
One week after making his official visit to Iowa, Josh Dix decided he has seen enough of the recruiting process andiowa.n.rivals.com
He sure did want to be a Hawk! When head coach Fran McCaffery stopped by my school to see me on Thursday, he asked me if I had any more questions for him. I had one thing to say:
"I just want to be a Hawkeye."
"McCaffery sees me as a Joe Wieskamp/Devyn Marble type of player. He thinks that I can play 1-3, handle the ball, start the break, and then on defense he thinks I can be versatile and guard points guards, guards, wings and even some 4s.
That all sounds great to me.
I can’t wait to get there. We’re going to keep the success going."
This is a really nice story from the Register on why he committed to Iowa.

This. I really like the 2 guards who are already committed to Iowa.Welcome Josh! Really nice backcourt in the 2022 class. Add a big, like Kohler, and a talented/athletic wing, and this would put Iowa good place for several years.
To whom are you referring?I really like this commit. Good for Fran for closing the deal.
That said, I am trying to shake off comparisons in my mind to other 6-5 guards from Iowa named Josh. (Not that previous 6-5 Joshes from Iowa have been terrible, just that I am hoping for better.)
Oglesby. Have there been any other 6-5 Joshes from Iowa?To whom are you referring?
🙂
Right! I forgot about him. I even googled Iowa guard Josh and his name didn't come up, so I guess that Google forgot him, too😉Oglesby. Have there been any other 6-5 Joshes from Iowa?
Sorry to be debbie downer but he’s not close to fredrick in passing or ball handling.Yes and a lot tougher than Frederick. And actually LOYAL.
Frederick’s soul is as brittle as his feet.
Dix is the real deal.
Dix is just a incoming HS Senior. Fredrick is a Junior in college. Dix, if your comments are even accurate, has a few years to improve.Sorry to be debbie downer but he’s not close to fredrick in passing or ball handling.
Good stroke, length.

I wouldn't consider Frederick to be a great passer or ball handler. If he was it never translated to high assists or dribble drives for a score. He was/is a shooter. Nothing more, nothing less.Sorry to be debbie downer but he’s not close to fredrick in passing or ball handling.

Absolutely this.....I think we all loved CJ's game and he was tough but injury prone. It happens. The upside with Dix's game going into his senior year is far bigger...imo. His skill set is so broad, smooth player and has better hops than CJ does. Physically bigger than CJ already....like em both but Dix is a great pick-up, not walking on and from Iowa.Dix is a bigger, stronger, more athletic player than CJ….CJ is a better shooter and very crafty. Two different players….loved CJ’s game but in my opinion Dix has a higher ceiling.
