Sir, this is the Josh Dix thread.
Does Dix live closer to Ames, Iowa City, or Omaha?

Omaha, Nebraska or the Omaha in Waukee?
Omaha, Nebraska or the Omaha in Waukee?
This is the Josh Dix Official Visit thread which we are finding out may not be an actual official visit so then we need to ask ourselves, does this thread even exist?
ughh; then why are we so bad at it?I spoke recently with a former Iowa player who told me they practiced Defense every single day.
interesting; so he/his family is paying for this tripTom talked to Dix about the visit, and it's a one day UNOFFICIAL visit today.
These kids haven't been able to do on campus stuff for a long time. If you are interested in some local schools, why not make some quick un-officials to test visit some schools? Then hone in officials later in the summer. July is going be big for some who have a good AAU showing.interesting; so he/his family is paying for this trip
i would assume an official visit would eventually happen, where Iowa pays for the trip
Officially, I would call it the unofficial Josh Dix visit thread.
Actually, a better example of a fake news thread would be when
Tyler Cook injured his ankle in Jan 2019. Legend wrote on Jan 13, 2019 that " I'd be surprised if he plays again this year."
When posters disputed it, saying that players in the locker room were saying Tyler was fine, Legend tried to back track by saying surgery was suggested.
" Yep, sounds like he might possibly try to play through it instead of having surgery, which was suggested. It may be something that will need surgery at some point but if he can handle the pain he can play on it and then have surgery later."
Well, guess what, folks? Tyler never had surgery that was related to this ankle injury. EVER.
And Tyler was back in the starting line up on Sunday, Jan 20 2019, just 7 days after Legend said he would be surprised if Tyler played again that year.

Valiant effort, @Franisdaman but you cant receipt the receipt master! I would be most entertained if Legend joined the Triangle vs Fran basketball-recruiting-news feud you two have going on and made it a Triple Threat match.
To not be completely off topic, I'd be be bummed to lose Dix to Creighton, unless it was because we were full due to a couple of the high choice guys visiting this month jumped on board right away.
This is good info @diehardhawk82! A few questions if you don’t mind…Sure thanks for asking. His family is full of Iowa fans. I am good friends with his aunt and uncle. He is looking to play in the power 6. They mention that he would like a Creighton offer so he would have the option to stay close. My buddy's gut has him ending up in IC.
Diehardhawk would certainly have better information than me, but Dix has said that he would like to commit before his senior season (but will whenever he feels comfortable with his choice)This is good info @diehardhawk82! A few questions if you don’t mind…
1. Did your buddy (Josh’s uncle) indicate when he plans on committing (IA hopefully or otherwise)?
2. You say “his family is full of Iowa fans”, is Josh also an Iowa fan?
Thanks!
It's the unholy lovechild of Gesell and Aaron White
I haven't heard when he plans on committing. I have never met him so I can't say if he is an Iowa fan or not. His entire family is Iowa fans except his dad who likes PSU football for some reason. I graduated high school with his aunt. Went to the 2008 PSU game his dad at Kinnick. Was a good time. lolThis is good info @diehardhawk82! A few questions if you don’t mind…

Thanks!
Looking at 247 and Rivals, neither shows a current Creighton nor ISU offer, not that those sights are always all inclusive/accurate. I believe Iowa offered back in April, so not likely this interview was until after that so should have known that he had an Iowa offer. Not sure if it was immediately committable or not.The Creighton comment by Biliew's uncle seems weird. Aren't Iowa City and Ames closer to Omaha than Omaha?L
Just noticed your comment I was responding too was not about Dix, but rather Biliew. ISU seems not likely to offer as they have two guard commits already in Tamin Lipsey and Eli King, thus likely to focus any additional recruiting on a bigger wing or post. Will be interesting to see if Creighton offers, They had a PG and 2 swing guard recruits in 2021, and looks like more of their recruiting focus in 2022 is on wings and posts.

It just reminds me and with all the content Frandaman, Triangle and others post are just how many great HS BB players are out there....I watch a lot of vids....unbelievable really and then you throw in the transfer portal too.....ya just need a few good boys/men to put together a competitive/good BB team.Reminds me of Kevin Huerter
Not sure how many rides Purdue plans on giving but he looks like a similar prospect to Dix.
Going back over 2 years? Solid work. If you are Danny McGrath I apologize for ever being an issue for you. 😉Actually, a better example of a fake news thread would be when
