Josh Dix

Agree. Dix is a very complete player. Not flashy, but plays within himself, makes very few mistakes, and sees the court very well on both ends. He lacks elite quickness, but his length makes up for a lot of that. Not as strong yet, but reminds me a lot of Bobby Hansen.

It seems like the majority of his shots end up as nothing but net swisher. Fran got a good one here.

Think Matt Painter wanted him. That said alot to me..

Can see why now. He would be one of those sound guards that has a pure stroke, doesn’t turn the ball over and plays with poise. Those were the guys we always seen on Purdue, wondered why couldn’t get them. Now we have one…. Love it!!

We need more DIX!!!

Perfect analysis of his game, he plays within himself. Twice yesterday he passed up a shot because he wasn't quite squared up or set.

Sandfort really needs to do more of this. He shoots too often when he isn't square or set. On the three he made yesterday he was in perfect rhythm.

Reminds me a lot of CJF in his freshman year. Hopefully his sophomore year and beyond are much different from CJF’s.

I get that vibe from him too, as much his defense and attitude as anything. But thinking maybe Ben Brust is another comp?
Bobby Hansen played with an edge/toughness, and it would be great to see Dix and some others have more. Dix doesn't back down, and it was interesting to see Mulcahey try to test him a couple of times when he first came into the game. He blocked his shot on one of those possessions.

That is what I like most about Ulis. He is tough as nails. Perkins seems to have it only in spurts, and needs to find it much more consistently going down the stretch, or Dix will continue to take some of his minutes. Toughness is a big part of what makes Connor a very good player. It is what is missing most in Bowen's game...

Dix is winning me over,,, starting to appreciate what other fans have been saying

Perkins has plenty of toughness. He's never afraid to mix it up inside with the bigs and he collects rebounds at a much higher rate than the other 3 guards. IMO, his biggest problem is that he makes a lot of bad decisions with the ball resulting in below average assist to turnover margins and a 40% 2 pt field goal %.

I thought Perkins was going to have a break out year this year. I don’t know if it’s the injury that’s been bothering him or if it’s all in his head, but he’s been very inconsistent.

Dix needs to work on his game on the other end of the court. If you get a chance to go to a game, watch the effort Ulis gives on the defensive side of the ball (on the ball and off the ball). You'll understand why he gets the minutes on the court over Bowen/Dix. Audige was frustrated by Ulis picking him up at 94 feet last night.
