This, folks, is an example of player development at Iowa!
He looks good & in better shape, for sure.

Poor man's Sam Perkins with that lefty set shot three. Looks good.
I think Hawk fans would take it!
I really think people underestimated how much the covid travel issues and his getting to Iowa last year effected Josh. He fully admitted that he did not keep in shape before he got to the states and his late arrival really put him behind. I think folks will be pleasantly surprised in how much more ready he is this season. I said earlier I think he and RM will play a lot at the 5 and Rebraka will play mostly at the 4, some at the 3 which will be interesting with the twins and Pmac eating a lot of those minutes. This, folks, is an example of player development at Iowa!

Hell, I'd take a desperate, living in the gutters, on welfare man's Sam Perkins.I think Hawk fans would take it!
What gym is that? It's not Carver, is it?
Oh I’m sure it didn’t well then again a few bruises or elbows to the head may have hurt some. LolIt didn't hurt that he got to go up against Luka. Lukas work ethic may have rubbed off on Josh too.
Also, remember in March when Ogundele went up against Cockburn and held his ground, forcing a missed jump shot?It didn't hurt that he got to go up against Luka. Lukas work ethic may have rubbed off on Josh too.
I do!Also, remember in March when Ogundele went up against Cockburn and held his ground, forcing a missed jump shot?
I think he's stronger than we know.
I hope the hell not he sucks!!i spotted s little georges niang at the end of that clip.
Josh has skills.....and Fran knew this a long time ago.. Fran knows what he is doing when he is out recruiting and I realize some pay closer attention to kid's HS vids and Josh has always had a nice looking stroke from the perimeter and beyond the 3 too. That's what I saw anyway. Big Body with BB skills to develop. Man that is one sweet lefty stroke.......and big body low post moves. That's a completely different body than we saw last year. He can be a productive player and should calm down everyone who was freaking out about a lack of beef inside this season.
The season can't get here soon enoughJosh has skills.....and Fran knew this a long time ago.. I think Fran knew the upside with Josh if he put the time in and surrounds him with some great coaching resources. That's an impressive vid Josh.....thanks for putting the time in to get better. Impressed with Riley too......kid is going to be a good one.
Amen Fran and thanks for all your posts......just gets me more excited....The season can't get here soon enough

Damn, thats a pretty good call.Poor man's Sam Perkins with that lefty set shot three. Looks good.
I am looking forward to playing small with Keegan and Kris at the 4 and 5 together. That's a completely different body than we saw last year. He can be a productive player and should calm down everyone who was freaking out about a lack of beef inside this season.
i am waiting for @EvilMonkeyInTheCloset 's predictions!Big man looking good, love that baby-hook in the lane
Didn't Big Sam need 15 seconds to get a jumper off his fingers? Seriously, if Gabe is 20% the player that Perkins was we've got a pretty good big boy on our hands.Damn, thats a pretty good call.
The original stretch big man.
It didn't hurt that he got to go up against Luka. Lukas work ethic may have rubbed off on Josh too.
I think that back in the day.......BJ Armstrong had a great work ethic that left a good imprint on the team.I hope Luka's work ethic rubbed off on everyone who ever watched him.
Yeah, he had a slow release but bigs weren't used to guarding out there so it didn't matter.Didn't Big Sam need 15 seconds to get a jumper off his fingers? Seriously, if Gabe is 20% the player that Perkins was we've got a pretty good big boy on our hands.
Riley is probably an ever bigger and better boy. Josh may never start. For now, however, we have only seen and heard good things from Josh in the off season. Cheers to that!
