JoshO

Sometimes all you need is a true big that is immoveable object. JoshO 3-4 and 5 rebounds vs Rebaca 1-2 and 2 rebounds and 5 fouls JoshO played pretty well. I think he has potential, won't be a star but he knows his role and doesn't try to do too much.

This has to motivate Josh to really work on his conditioning. If he can play like this every time out he’ll be starting before the year is out.

I loved how this team fought tonight. When they play this hard and defend like this it’s so much fun to watch.

Williams was 4-12 from field, with many misses coming while Ogundele was man to man, including an airball from 8 feet and a shot off the side of the board, so some really bad misses

Ive liked his defensive potential, but he also showed he could finish in traffic with dunks…

Hopefully we get a similar performance from him against Illinois. Good to have someone that can body up with some of this Big Men in the B1G. Don't see him getting as many minutes against smaller lineups tho. Gotta keep improving his conditioning

He should be starting C not Rebaca
Rebraca has been pretty solid so far this season. He just isn't built for a team like Purdue but how many teams can truck out 3 bigs like Purdue? Rebraca does well against mid sized C's and more inside/outside type guys. Plus Rebraca's off the ball movement has been key to opening things up for Keegan.

Great game from Josh! He was superior and more efficient than #50 from Purdue in most ways (and less of an attention seeking dipshit).
Rebraca is great as well and will help win games for the Hawks. I think these two are the key to making the Tournament this year.

You all underestimated my man the Big O. His defense was tremendous, he really moves his feet well for a big man and he was giving William fits. I don’t recall Josh giving up a bucket to him. And he has a bit of a mean streak fighting for rebounds, which I love. He will probably foul out against Kofi, but until he does I bet he defends him well.

Get you some rest big fella!! Get ready to take it to kofi next big fella!

Earlier games this season, he just looked "lost" on the court.
I did not have much for expectations from him.

BOY, WAS THAT THE WRONG TAKE!!!

Josh gave us solid minutes against the new #1 team in the country. Busted his ass keeping us in the game on both ends of the court.

Keep improving, buddy......we'll need those minutes and that big frame against the other Big Men in this conference.

Whole team w/o Keegan stepped up and played with grit and intensity. Amazed how they were able to play themselves back into the game and get within a bucket with a few minutes left. These guys just need the minutes on the court to learn the fine-tuning of the game at the college level; their defensive intensity was some of the best I've ever seen from an Iowa team. That goes for every guy in a black uniform last night.

Gonna be a fun team to watch as the less-experienced guys get more minutes. I think Fran's formula with keeping Connor out of the starting 5 and giving those younger guys the minutes is going to pay off late in the season.

Because we know what CM brings- stability, assists, minimal TOs, and general court savvy. That's invaluable off the bench.

Ogundele was gassed at the end of the game despite only playing 16 minutes. He’s not ready to log starter minutes, and against more athletic big men (think Ohio State’s Wesson, Pete Nance from Northwestern) he’ll get exposed. That’s not to take away from what he provided last night - his play against an all Big Ten player in Williams was impressive. But this is game 1 of extended quality minutes for Josh. Here’s to many more

Also, Rebraca didn’t fill up the stat sheet, but his defense on Edey was really good. He still needs to make his free throws though

When I saw him fumble an easy pass in one of his first minutes this year I judged his ability way too quickly. He could develop into a nice role. But being tired after so few minutes is worrisome

Josh certainly earned himself some PT and some confidence from Fran with his performance last night. I hope this is a springboard for him......

If we can get 10-15 solid minutes a game from Josh that would be awesome this year.

Luckily you are not a coach.
