That's another year from now. And he's got Yelverton breathing down his neck.
Hope he lands in a place he can see the reps he wants though, seems like he's had bad injury luck here.
Correct. We have two young up and coming te that are above him. Good portal move and we gain a scholarship. Win win

Who is the second up and coming TE? I believe he was on the sideline at NW with 1-2 Walk On TEs.
This may be the case. I don't know. He was the next TE off the bench in games earlier this year after LaPorta and Lachey. Someone may have passed him recently, but he is/was a good prospect. Moves really well. Best of luck to him wherever he ends up.
Lachey and Yelverton are both frosh/sophs. It’s been a contributing factor as well why we missed on a couple of our top TE targets, all the ones we have are juniors or younger so playing time is a premium.
Probably the 2nd highest after Lachey honestly. Sucks we lost Josiah, but I get going down to the FCS or group of 5 level to get some playing time.

Yes, Isaiah Bruce leaving the team is accurate. Not in the transfer portal this point, just no longer with the team.
Yelverton hasn't been on travel team all season. Bryce Schulte is TE No. 4 behind Miamen.
Not sure I would classify it as a problem, especially if LaPorta returns next year (as I would guess he would).
Wasn't going to see the field and probably wasn't patient enough to wait, which I guess I cannot blame him as that is the thing these days. Good luck where ever he goes.
Practice source said he was put on scout team, didn't like it and got into argument with coaches. Boom. Gone.
I really hope that's not the case, because if it is, that sounds terribly irrational and immature of him.

I understand leaving if you're buried on the depth chart, but not leaving at this point in the season, especially if you're getting some time on the field. Too bad he couldn't wait until at least the end of semester.
Instead of working hard to earn the playing time these kids just leave. GTFO then.
Damn, but I’m much more bummed to hear Bruce is gone. I thought he could be a good one for us.
