Is there any chance we take a look at Lane from Indian hills? Or any one else? Someone with iowa ties?

Lane already signed with Central Michigan. Not sure there are a whole lot of options out there at this point...transfer or JUCO, but you never know.
if memory serves, didn't we sign Cartwright in June? There are players out there, just a matter if Fran wants to get one that is immediately eligible?
I think Fran was looking at transfers to sit for a reason. He likely feels comfortable with Bohannon, Toussaint, Fredrick, Wieskamp, Connor and Pat in the backcourt.
Maybe Moss leaving changes that but we're still looking at a possible 9 man rotation.

Guys the portal is full of malcontents and players who have not excelled (It's the truth). I loved Maishe and Moss but the portal is not filled with stars. There are a few exceptions of course but the answer lies elsewhere.

The "portal" is now a requirement for any transfer. So you're saying all transfers are now malcontents (oh, but a few exceptions of course)?

Over 500 this year alone you have to go back 20 years to find 8 good ones? I don't think you understand what this post is saying ......very few good players among the 500.
Yes Uthoff was great! But he was an iowa kid who wanted to play for iowa but we were led by Lick at the time. Other than Uthoff we have to back 20 years.
It's better to take a chance on 1-2 grad transfers and still have those schollies available to fill in the 2020 class then reach on Juco kids and tie up a schollies for at least 2 years.
Even worse would be to reach on HS seniors right now like we did with Dailey and Williams when we had rides available in the spring.
Where elsewhere does this answer like?
I believe the answer is that Fran is done with 2019. He likes his guys. 2020 recruiting could use some good news, no doubt.
Going into a season with 10 guys on scholly is a recipe for disaster. Any type of injury trouble or illness and its going to be like transporting back to the Alford era where we had 7-8 scholarship guys dressed for a game.
Other teams are getting good ones right? I just listed whom I remember Iowa got over the years.
Yes not all of them are guys that would play at Iowa. But you can find good transfers from time to time and there are more to evaluate now
