LOL, just top notch control of sensitive documents.

A federal judge has unsealed a detailed inventory of the classified materials seized from Donald Trump's private resort.

District Court judge Aileen Cannon ordered the inventory unsealed Friday morning, giving a clearer look at the items FBI agents seized from the former president while executing a search warrant at Mar-a-Lago, and the list shows that top-secret documents were intermingled with personal items like books, clothing and printouts of news articles.

Investigators seized from Trump's office seven documents marked "top secret," 43 empty folders marked "classified," 28 empty folders labeled "return to staff secretary/military aide," 99 news articles dated between January 2017 and October 2018, and 26 more press articles dated between January and November 2020.

Other boxes contain similar mixtures of personal items, highly sensitive government documents and government documents and photographs without classification markings, but the inventory doesn't specify any additional details about any of the items or documents might be.

It's not clear whether the contents of those empty classified folders were missing or placed elsewhere among the materials stored at Mar-a-Lago.

The judge also unsealed a status report filed Aug. 27 by the investigative team that carried out the Aug. 8 search.

Can't wait for some explanation from Turd's bumbling defense team to explain this away.

Amateur hour...details at 10.

As someone who has worked in physical and technical security for decades now - I can tell you humans are terrible at it. Like really terrible.

So is this particularly egregious? Or is it pretty commonplace for humans to transport, handle and store top secret docs like this?

LOL... they put them in a position on a surface large enough to get them all in a picture. It happened to be the floor. Did they claim they were left on the floor by Trump or did Trumpettes just make that leap?
The lady lawyer(Bobb) on Fox yesterday was really grasping at straws.

She knew damn well those documents weren't found on the floor. But the MAGAt audience probably bought her version.

You know the president can declassify anything they want right?
You are only partially correct and what you are asserting is constantly litigated and changes. Here's an article that explains this gray area.

And there is a set process for doing that. Trump did not follow that.

Nevermind the fact that there were hundreds of pages and folders still marked top secret/SCI all over his "home office" when he was no longer president.

It's interesting to imagine if we were talking about Hillary and Chappaquiddick instead of Trump and Mar-a-Lago with this same scenario.

Oh, yes, the server.

What about Clinton’s emails? How Trump’s document controversy differs.

That is a bureaucratic suggestion , not a criminal act. There is a difference.
The problem is bigger than that.

It started with "It was planted".

Then.. "It was in a secure safe".

Then..."No one else had access".

Then..."He declassified them".

You see the pattern here, right?

They're scrambling for excuses.

BTW...I haven't even addressed the lawyers proclaiming in June that all documents had been turned over.

No, he can't. There are things he can't declassify. And, he can't declassify anything himself. He can't wave his hand and spread declassification fairy dust and it magically happens. There's a process to follow. There's no evidence that process was followed, even once.

Why are you guys so f-ing dense you still can't get it after being told 100 times. You're like toddler.

If Trump handled these documents inappropriately, he should be served with appropriate punishment. However, those orgasming over this "huge" issue of maybe having notes he shouldn't have had watched one of the most horrific speeches since Hitler last night and not only remain quiet but praise it.

"maybe having notes"? Um... Way to try to spin it to minimize it. You know it is way worse than that excuse. He is a crook and a rule breaker, we all know that, and ought to get the same punishment that he himself said Assange and Snowden should get for doing the same thing. But he of course is not subject to rules like the rest of us. Pathetic.

Lol at you calling Top Secret documents, “notes.”

6 million wasn't enough brigade. Those are the type of individuals at MAGA rallies. They mingle freely amongst the God fearing salt of the Earth supposedly normal GOP er. Alternative Electors, using violence and threats of violence to get your way. Step away from the ledge bruh.

If you took offense to what Biden said last night, then you need to look in a mirror and reevaluate the decisions that you have made. Biden called out Trump and his supporters in the MAGA movement. He did not call out all Republicans or those who do not agree with him. Even Steve Doocy realized this.

Is having empty folders a crime now? It’s possible there wasn’t ever anything in the folders but good to know they got his time magazines and playboys… Cracker Jack FBI agents we got there.

This is such a stupid take. It is a crime if the documents that were supposed to be in those folders are missing. Also, we do not know what the FBI agents were told and what kind of clearance they had to be able to review the documents. The FBI were there to secure the documents, not validate them.

Did they only find empty folders genius? How about the hundreds of top secret and classified documents that were all over? I guess empty folders cancel those out huh? You can't be this simple.

That's what struck me the most - the empty unclassified folders. Next was the sprinkling of books. I really don't picture Trump reading too many books, so I have to assume they were gifts.
