Q: How
did your junior day visit at Iowa end up going overall?
BEYER: “It was a
great experience. I had lots of fun.”

Q: What did you do while on campus?

BEYER: “9:30 was check in. Then we went into the weight room and got our height
and weight measured. We got introduced to some of the coaches and then went into
a meeting room. Coach Ferentz talked a little bit and said he was happy to have
everyone there. Then we watched Iowa’s highlight video from this past season.
They talked more about the college and how it is a college town. We went to the
Iowa-Northwestern game and that was pretty awesome. We came back to talk with
the coaches and then went on another tour.”

Q: What did you consider as
your favorite part?
BEYER: “I’d say it was their weight room and nutrition
facilities there. It was just top of the line. Their nutrition stations are
customized for each player. I can see how it helps now that with the new NCAA
rules they can feed their athletes as much as they want. It is just amazing.”

Q: Did you get a chance to talk with many of their coaches?
BEYER: “I had
a lot of individual time with quite a few of the coaches. I had the most time
with Coach Morgan. I am pretty sure he is the recruiting coordinator for my
area. He said I might be a tight end by watching film but that I could play
offense or defense. He is not sure where he’d put me. He said that he knows I am
a football player. They would have a place for me there.”

Q: How do you
feel overall about Iowa?
BEYER: “Having 55 million dollar facilities where
everything is top of the line is amazing. Their coaches are very nice and
respectful. The academics are big too. They would have everything I would need
there pretty much.”

Q: What camps are you going to this summer?
BEYER:
“I got invited to the Nike Opening regional in Chicago. I’ll definitely be going
to Iowa and Iowa State camps during the summer. I’ll be doing the Rivals combine
in St. Louis. I might also do some camps in Minnesota.”

Q: What colleges
are recruiting you the hardest?
BEYER: “Iowa, Iowa State, UNI, Northern
Illinois, North Dakota State, Northwest Missouri State, Western Illinois,
Minnesota Duluth, and Crookston.”
