iowa showed folks in those years just how bad a power 5 team can be.

We've now had two typical dr Tom years. Get to the tourney, win a game, then get outclassed in the 32 round. Dr Tom also took us to an occasional sweet 16 (and one elite 8 but that was with ravellings recruits)

So is that the ceiling for Fran? I dunno, and if it is, I suppose the fans will eventually grow restless just like they did with Tim Davis. But it's way too soon to grow restless now, not with the lick years still fresh in our memories.

Unfortunately, I think it is the ceiling for the Iowa program. Frustrating, but admittedly light years better than the dumpster fire that was the Todd Lickliter era.

No, this isn't our ceiling, and I think Fran and the team will just be hungrier for the seasons to come...

Agree with you - we can and should be really disappointed by today's game, especially because we know that's not how our boys wanted to perform, and how our seniors wanted to exit. And as a lifelong Iowa fan, I don't want the team and coaches to "settle" for anything less than the best every season. Losing sucks, definitely. Rooting for the Hawkeyes? I'll take that, any day, good or bad.

I'd take that over being pissed off and miserable at all times
