Wisconsin is a little better than America knows.
USC is very average.
Iowa is 150 points worse than all B1G teams on the road.
Thank goodness that Michigan wasn’t worse than it could’ve been.

Only thing I'm surprised about is that FVCK WISCONSIN!!! didn't win by a bigger margin.

Crazy to think it's been 10 years since the Duke championship game. I'm surprised Wisconsin wasn't able to build off that success. I'd take the last 10 years of Gard over what Fran has done but I thought Wisconsin would be a perennial contender.
I sort of worry about the Iowa women's team missing the moment.
If Bo had stayed it may have been different. But he was pretty busy at that time. We had a run of 6 Sweet 16’s in 7 years during that time. Haven’t been back since 2017.

It's funny Pat Harty posts that (and I like to listen to his podcasts), but then he constantly bashes Iowa fans for being critical of Fran/Jan/Kirk.
I remember a few short years ago Hilton was a ghost town too.

Teams are able to mostly shut us down when it matters. Not over yet, but every bucket seems tough, like when we were in L.A.
To each their own.
Same defensive philosophy and rebounding efforts year after year that garner the same results. You enjoy it? Super for you.
If these people can't appreciate upper division finishes, high character student athletes, a good family man coach, and an entertaining brand of basketball....well...that's their problem and I feel sorry for them.
You can feel sorry for me but:
1. Fran has coached for around 30 years. 0 Sweet 16s. So we know Iowa isn’t playing past the first weekend.
2. You say “entertaining brand of basketball “. I’m not entertained by the same shit every year. Poor defense, lack of rebounding, and no true guard that can break down a defense and create points in crunch time.
3. If you think this is as good as it can be for Iowa, I believe you are wrong. Just look to the Northwest. I’m not suggesting Iowa should be a top 5 team every year or anything g crazy like that, but we can do better than 0 sweet 16s and hanging around the bubble (or worse this year) .
Change is good once in a while . The program is stale, crowds are small, and a lot of us aren’t even watching all the games anymore. It’s time for change.
Never said I enjoy it. But your definition of trash is odd. Then again, you probably think the football team is trash, too. And the women’s BB team.

I thought the "upper division finishes" reference would be a dead giveaway but I guess not.
Understanding that you won't win every game, losing is going to happen. It's whether you make the effort, you know both ends of the court. Rebounding takes effort, defense takes effort. Neither one is a game to game product that the HAWKS bring to each and every time they step on the court. If they lose making the effort in all areas of the game I don't have a problem with them. When they half-ass those two areas of the game and lose like they've done too many times under Fran................. it gets old.
That’s all well and good and I don’t necessarily disagree. But to call this team trash is just dumb and stupid. Trash teams are not 12-7. A trash team would be 3-16 or thereabouts.
I listen to about 5-6 different Hawkeye podcasts and I listen to them religiously. They all do it. But it might be every fan base? Harty was talking today about how Iowa fans bitch about the weather and don't show up to Carver and compared Iowa to Iowa State and that the weather doesn't stop the fans from showing up to Hilton. What a tone deaf comparison. Iowa sells out Kinnick, sells out Carver for WBB, wrestling, etc. I seem to remember Iowa selling out Carver for some of those NIT games early in Fran's tenure.
