How can they be charged with violating Federal Law by removing nonvoters from the voting rolls. These illegals are not legal voters so taking them off the voting rolls should not be a violation.
The Justice Department seeks injunctive relief that "would restore the ability of impacted eligible voters to vote unimpeded on Election Day," the department said in a statement.
It is surprising that the educated people at America First Legal do not understand that a person being labeled a noncitizen does not mean they are not currently a naturalized citizen.

Clearly taken out of context as it states, "potential noncitizens" and "illegals"
American First Legal does know "illegals" can't vote and a potential noncitizen could be restricted from voting also.
The DOJ said Friday it had already found that some of the 3,521 individuals Alabama identified as having a noncitizen identification numbers have since become naturalized citizens, granting them the right to vote in elections.

The headline should read Alabama trying to purge eligible votes from their rolls. Could imagine how disheartening it would be to become a citizen only to be illegally removed days before your first election? Shame on you GOP!
