Kansas getting NOA for “major violations” from NCAA, per report

They will get a very strict "you better not do that again" and maybe even have to give back some wins. That will crush their fans' spirit and recruits will notice.

Oh and South East Alabama State will lose scholarships and no post season tournaments. If that doesn't get the blue bloods attention, I don't know what will.

I certainly hope this is not the case. The NCAA has been handed the opportunity by the FEDs to set things straight with crooked programs. Mostly the so-called blue bloods.

How'd they gain their status, and stay that high year after year? Cheating.

Fry them like they deserve. That'll end this BS. And the TRUE Blood Blues will arise. Or lo and behold, a fair level playing field will be the result of the FBI investigation...
Wouldn't that be nice! Equal chances for recruits for all schools? What a novel idea.

Everyone knows all the elite schools have been cheating. I highly doubt if Kansas gets a post-season ban, although the is the only punishment that means anything. The NCAA could do the following to actually enforce rules:

Been up enforcement. Staff that area with more people.
Give the investigative department the ability to subpoena records and testimony. Schools today get away with stuff by having an assistant or nobody fall on their sword, resign and then that person doesn't have to participate in the investigation.
Schools go through regular audits for compliance.

Kansas is 100% behind Self. I would be surprised if he or the program get more than a slight slap on the wrist. After all, coaches like Self, Boeheim, Williams and K are "Hall of Famers" and can't be held to the same standards that the rest of the coaching field are required to follow.

With the past actions by the NCAA on rules infractions etc. Why would any school not back their coaches 100%.
That said id it was Iowa they would self report , fire all the coaches, forfeit all games and give back all the money earned.
Im all for honesty and a clean program but the level to which college sports is out of whack in terms of cheating and payoffs its time to keep up with rhe Jones's.

Has Iowa ever done that for any of its NCAA violations?

Shoot, they have to be 100% behind him. Without KU basketball that school is a dustbowl in the middle of no where when it comes to college athletics. I know it shouldn't be this way, but KU gets a lot of regional and national students to attend there because of what goes on at the Phog......

Uh, no they didn't.
Uh, it was a self-reported violation, that likely was a level one or level two infraction that they fired their coaching staff for. It was certainly an exaggerated point, but the athletic department policed itself, unlike many others. So yes, that is exactly what they did.

You should do more research on the topic at hand, that way you won't look so foolish.

Really not sure how it is foolish to point out a fact, I understand that he was trying to help the student athlete out with rent, but it was a violation nonetheless.

I am very aware of what transpired...but the U of Iowa didn't "fire all the coaches" as a poster above said they would do. Vicki was promoted to interim head coach and all indications are she will be given an interview for the job when the the search for a new head coach begins.

UPDATE: She has been promoted to head coach with a 5 year deal.

So you are talking ISU football smack to an Iowa fan on a basketball board?

You are obviously the offspring from a woman who was impregnated by a sloth.

She should have taken the coat hanger to you when she had a chance.
Of course you’re hiding on the bball board, trolls like you wouldn’t dare post on the fball board after yet another ass kicking...in your biggest game in program history no less.

Bottom line, we own you in EVERYTHING.

YOU ARE OUR BITCH!*

*Not to be confused with your mom.

Did the volleyball coach, the guy who committed the violation get fired? Did the NCAA discover this violation and force Iowa’s hand on it?
