No doubt they were sloppy today. USD was the defending WNIT champ. Iowa has a very young team. Other than Ally starting three freshman and a sophomore. Bre Cera did not have a good day but a lot of that was on USD's D.

And Doyle has only been the primary point guard in the latter part of the season. Very impressive. Will be an interesting dilemma when Davis returns next year.

Gustafson shot 15 for 16 for career high 33 points. That helped with assist numbers.

I think Doyle will remain the starter next season with Davis as the primary backup to both PG/SG, particularly with her coming off an injury. She might not be 100% for a while and the team has chemistry with Doyle now.

Depends on how well Tania recovers. When will she be ready to play?? January??

It will probably depend on where Tania's health is. If she is 100%, or close to it, she will be the point. Like it was this season. If she is still working her way back it could be Kathleen.

Agree Slarew and oakhawk. I should have qualified my statement. I just want Tania to be 100% when she comes back, whether that's next December or January or November 2018.

Great kid. Doyle came from Benet Academy in Lisle, IL outside of Chicago. Smart girl from a tremendous academic school. 1000 students with a class average ACT near 30. Hope we keep the paths open to get more kids from this school.
