Keegan is literally better in every statistical category except free throw shooting and assists.

Better in points, rebounds, FG%, 3FG%, Steals, Blocks.

What a bunch of B.S.

It would be funny if Murray ends up NPOY but was somehow snubbed for BPOY

Some people earn the awards they receive. Some don't, so as I noted in another post, you might want to keep this in mind when reading about award-winners:

2007 National Basketball Coach of the Year: Todd Lickliter

That should provide all the perspective anyone needs.

BTW: I would enjoy seeing Iowa face Wisconsin again somewhere along the line. Watching a humble talent like JD would be interesting, especially against a terrible defensive team like Iowa and a lesser talent like Keegan Murray . . . (Note: Please be sure your sarcasm meter is in the ON position.)

As noted above, Johnny Davis was not a unanimous 1st Team pick by the Media.

Unfortunately to the Victor go the spoils. It’s not like iowa was a dog team and finished last but the player whose team won the championship is always given the benefit of the doubt if it’s close.
Yeah.....I've been watching this show too and I get the frustration for sure. For me like another poster said, based on stats and many other key risk factors, all day long it's Keegan. And Johnny's got a punk attitude to boot as others are saying.....dang, what a punk but doesn't surprise me though with that team and coach of theirs.

As truth is saying, I blame this though on the other teams in the conference like PU in Mackey earlier in the year letting Wisky get the best of them....wth? You got big experienced talent returning too and at home. You were picked to win the conference for a reason.

We stunk it up in Madison a while ago now on 1/6 but this team was not in a place yet with so many new pieces/faces playing to handle the Badgers...and people may not know this but we had won the last 4 meetings against Wisky so they were due and probably pissed about this as well and a good team to boot with a B1G player of the year on their roster.

Teams like OSU losing in Columbus or Illinois losing in Champaign....or so many close wins ...1 pt wins against Maryland and Minny. Minny could've beat them twice watching both games. I mean their margin of victory is 4.5 ppg and we are #1 in the conference at 12.2

So yea.....I certainly wished we could've/should've ended the season with a return game in IC instead of having to play 2 road games to end the season at Michigan and at Illinois....gee thank you B1G....would've been nice to see if Keegan and the Hawks could've returned the same flavor against Johnny and the Badgers.....and if they could have....might have changed the vote to Keegan....

Sucks and to mention, Wisky gets two home games to end their season with a win over PU and a loss to Nebby.... really, Nebby and your B1G player of the year scores 10 points....go figure. 🤨 Nebby did their part... a bit.

The media did a better job than the coaches:

1. Media did not make Davis unanimous.
2. Media had Davison on 3rd team not 2nd team.
3. Media did not have Gabe Brown on 3rd team...he had a dismal season.

I thought frosh award was very close but that McGowens was good from Nov on as opposed to the last six weeks for Branham.
McConnell was deserving of the defensive POY .

Thanks Fran....I had just looked at the Headline on that site. :)

will they reveal which media member(s) did not vote for Johnny Davis for not only Player of the Year but for 1st Team All B1G?

To the winners go's the spoils. Iowa was out of the hunt for Big Ten Championship in January. Maybe next year!

Bohannon didn't deserve to be on the honorable mention list, just didn't...his body of work over the entire season wasn't good enough.

I thought Kris would at least be Honorable Mention.

And I don't know who does the actual voting, but I was surprised the Coaches would put a player like Davison on the Second Team (in fact, on any team!).

Yeah, why Davison gets any recognition, I have no idea

And remember, the B1G did a segment on him this year on "The Journey." That was a head scratcher, too.
