Keegan Murray Unanimous First Team All B1G. Johnny Davis Player of Year (NOT Unanimous 1st Team by Media OR Unanimous POY). Gard is Coach of the Year

Frankenstein.

Johnny Davis said if he couldn't vote for himself for B1G Player of the Year, he would vote for Kofi.

Of course he said that.

What a douche.
LMAO - what a piece of work, why would any college player say something like that? F-him and his dirty teammate. I am beginning to see why Juwan Howard took a swipe at these guys...

Bohannon didn't deserve to be on the honorable mention list, just didn't...his body of work over the entire season wasn't good enough.
A lot of these awards are weighted heavily too the later part of the season. Jbo certain'y made a difference in several conference games, and lets face it he's going to get some nods as a career acheivement reward as well....

Keegan is literally better in every statistical category except free throw shooting and assists.

Better in points, rebounds, FG%, 3FG%, Steals, Blocks.

What a bunch of B.S.
one plays for a team that had 3 more conference wins. Lets not act like this is some grave injustice.

I don't know if Keegan Murray should have got on the all defensive team but Hunter should not have. Hunter averaged 1.5 DRB, 0.6 STL, and 0.0 BLKs for the year. He had a DRtg of 106.9. Those are atrocious numbers. His defensive abilities are overrated.

sometimes i wonder if they just try to spread the love and get everyone on a team

He said that because the BTN host asked him who he would vote for if not himself…

Are the Wisconsin message boards as boring as their brand of basketball? You secretly wish the shot clock didn't exist don't you? You'd love yourself some 8-6 final scores.
Yup bring back the peach baskets while we’re at it.

I thought Kris would at least be Honorable Mention.

And I don't know who does the actual voting, but I was surprised the Coaches would put a player like Davison on the Second Team (in fact, on any team!).
I think Trevion Williams was the only non-starter to get any award (3rd team and 6th man) and he's basically a co-starter with Edey. You've gotta play to get the accolades. Kris didn't really play enough minutes to garner the stats to collect the honors. Keegan had a very similar season last year and made the all Freshman team but that was it.

Q. Fran, your thoughts on Keegan getting unanimous first team and Jordan recognized for a fifth time.

FRAN MCCAFFERY: I’m thrilled for those guys not only for being recognized, but you know how hard they work, you know the kind of people they are, the character that they have. When you see your players achieve something special, it’s the best feeling in the world for a coach.

Q. Most years Keegan would probably be Player of the Year. Kind of wild this year with so many good players.

FRAN MCCAFFERY: Yeah, you could have gone a lot of ways with that first team. Even the second team is pretty special. So we are happy he was on it.

Matt Bohannon - Averaged 8pts, 6 RB's and 1.4 Assts at UNI
Zach Bohannon - Averaged 2pts, 1 RB and .5 Assts at Air Force and Wisconsin
Jason Bohannon - Averaged 9pts, 3 RB's and 2 Assts at Wisconsin
Jordan Bohannon - Averaged 11pts, 2 Rb's and 4 Assts at Iowa (holds the all time 3-point record in the B1G and is closing in on the record for the P5 record. Is the assists record holder at Iowa. Made a memorable shot to defeat the Badgers on their court.

Who was the better Bohannon?

The Official Bohannon Power Rankings:
1) Jason - great shooter and better defender than Jordan
2) Jordan - obvious #2
3) Matt - didn’t follow his career but he has to be better than Zach
4) Zach - not very good at basketball

Jason never got a start until he was a Junior. Scored a total of 1170 points. The correct answer is Jordan, who broke into the starting lineup in his seventh game as a Freshman, has scored a total of 1975 points to date, and is the best of the Bohannon brothers and it's not really close.

Congrats to Keegan and @PHawkKenyon

Johnny Davis was a consensus pick
for B1G Player of the Year AND 1st Team All B1G. Davis was not unanimous for either award.
