I think he wanted to get his team out of there before another court storming. But yes, weird deal.
Seen a lot of basketball and don't recall ever watching a team head to the lockers before the buzzer. I suspect you're right, it's just strange...
They were making a huge deal of all the security around the court than implied UK left the floor as poor sports right after telling everyone there's a lot of security in case of another court storming.
I understood why they left, and Cal stayed. That whole thing really got played up in to nothing.

It shows how many people out there that have no class.
Kentucky has not shaken hands since they got covid at the Kansas game. much ado about nothing, maybe should have stayed the final 4 secs but really a non starter.
They anticipated a court storming that would have meant no handshake line anyway. This is not a story.
Most rational people understand this. But what about class?! So classless! It's all about the class!

Didn't watch, so can't really comment on all that. Still if they were going to storm the court, maybe its just smarter to get the players out of the melee before hand? I'm always very concerned about visiting teams during court or field storming. There have been incidents of players having to defend themselves from fans and some where raw emotions had angry football players assaulting fans, (who probably asked) to get smacked. After what we saw last week, all bets are off.......
So Arkansas has had a few really good wins at home and the atmosphere there is so great, but it’s been bedlam after some of those games. Cal gave a quick nod to Musselman and he acknowledged back. Much ado about nothing.
I thought they were protecting CJ from getting his foot hurt.
