It's time to move on from the Ferentz family. I appreciate all Kirk has done for Iowa including the two B1G titles, undefeated season, and getting us back to the Rose Bowl.

However, it is time to move on BEFORE we have to play 1999-2000 again if he is forced out in 2-3 years.

I think Kerry Cooks is the answer for Iowa's next head coach. A former Hawkeye that would bring the wood when he hit. A defensive guy who has coached at some big time programs in some big games. I also think he could get guys like Ennis-Inge and maybe AJ Blazek to come back to Iowa as well.

Thoughts?

To your original point... Kirk and Mary have done far too much to be ran out of town. He is walking that line right now.

I think that being an alum doesnt make you a better coach. There should be better options that could introduce new ideas. We need new ideas.

I want a coach who would make a run at a proven offensive genius for OC rather than promoting your son.

Kirk is afraid to surround himself with people he thinks may be smarter than him. This is the greatest single difference between him and Hyden Fry.

Kirk has been at Iowa same time as Hayden....what's his coaching tree....his legacy? He wants it to be Brian.

Brohm is also a first year guy, though, and he schooled Ferentz today. Iowa can do better than this.

Hell yes we can. Look around at the way football is played every where else now. It doesn't look like what Iowa does.

The game has evolved and Kirk hasn't. He wasn't good at it to begin with but when he came into the league everyone else was worse than him. Paterno, Car, Tressel, Mason, ect. The rest of the league has moved way past the 90s football. Iowa hasn't.

We need a coach with a pulse on offense. Our current offensive strategy just sucks the life out of the entire team.

Ive always liked scoring just enough points to let an opponent hang around. Its fun to watch them get the ball with a minute left and know what the outcome will be.
