I have no problem with encouraging college students to vote and get involved. Bully on him for doing so. We all have a choice as to whether or not to participate in our right to vote as citizens.

My worry/concern is that this mission to get out of the vote and political activities is taking precedence over the reason he's getting paid, which is leading the conference. The Big 10's mission is not to register voters. It's apparently good to be transparent and seek student input on voting/political activity, but not with the actual things the conference is responsible for -- i.e. sports the conference teams participate in. In those instances, we want zero input or dialogue with players. It makes no sense.

But let's be honest here--Kevin Warren isn't focused on getting players to vote because he cares about them or wants their "voice to be heard." He's doing it because minorities, especially young minorities, blindly vote Democrat 99% of the time. Which is the exact political agenda Mr. Warren seems to be focused on pushing instead of growing the conference, doing what's best for the players, etc.

It's from the wrong premise. If you are taking away something from someone, it's on the conference to lay out clearly the reasons and the data for how that drastic decision was made. It's not on the players and coaches to prove why it is safe to play.

It's not good enough to say "we don't think it's safe" with no further explanation. With no input whatsoever from the actual players or coaches?

If MS is still paying FB his son is an adult and has made his choice to play. Might not be what Warren wants but respects his sons decision.
Reverse the scenario and say that Warren was the head of the SEC conference and he shut it down. His son is playing in the Big 10 which is not. His son made an adult decision to play. You can't hang that on Warren at all.
He might not be happy either way but that is the way it is.

But the not so peaceful protests have come with a 500 million dollar loss between about 10 mostly democratic run cities due to property damage and the cost of overtime for police and activating the national guard. And that cost is likely to go up as violent protest continue in several major cities. Portland has been rioting for almost three solid months now.
