I think this is a game Iowa can win. It will be tough, but they can steal one here.

1. Score early and often. No slow start like Purdue.
2. Defense! We can't let Nebraska shoot lights out from three.
3. Limit Turnovers
4. Get the ball inside and get Nebraska in foul trouble (assuming they call Nebby for anything)
5. No scoring droughts

Limit dribble penetration and close down lane.
Limit Nebraska to 1 shot (everybody has to rebound)
Push tempo, get transition buckets before nebraska can set defense.

1. Defense
2-5. Same as #1

Nebraska is fine, but they don't have the defense to shut us down. Jok will get his points, Pemsl/Cook will contribute. Moss is a tough matchup for them at the 2. We usually have little problem scoring.

Scoring early and often doesn't equate to a win for this ball club...look no further than Omaha. We tried to outscore opponents in the non-conference prior to the ISU and UNI games and it didn't work out too well. Defense has been and will continue to be most important for this team. If we defend and rebound we have a chance.

It would be nice to see a better game on the defensive end and on the boards, two things they struggle with mightily.

Play our game offensively. Don't give up easy fast breaks. Defend the interior and guard all four of their guys who can actually shoot the three. That includes Jack McVeigh who is only hitting .295 of his threes but has 61 attempts. That's more than anybody else on the team and we don't want him figuring his shot out against us!

So obviously watch the help outside in, stay on your guys.

I don't know if he'll play tonight, but I'd like to see Dailey if Williams isn't good to go. One, because I think he could be another guy to score off the bench. Two, because I'd like to see him against Watson or Webster. I don't know how well he'd do, but I'm curious.

Entirely agree that if we play defense, and defensive rebound, we should win since this sets up our offense nicely and they can't score with us.

They will feed off of turnovers and offensive rebounds at home - this energizes them and gets the crowd in the game. We.have a lot more scoring options than they do, we simply can't let them get easy baskets, 15 more free throws, or 15 more FG attempts.

If we can keep the FT and FG attempts within 5 of them, I think we'll win because we're more efficient. If either of those 2 get up to 10 or more above our own, we're in trouble.
