With the addition of Kallenberger today, Iowa has a total of 5 in state commits. They have offers outstanding with Lombardi and Dykstra. They are still showing interest in Vance who is committed to ISU, but he recently made a visit to Iowa. It wouldn't be a stretch to think that they could land all of these guys. I love this strategy. Get the instate kids that have dreamed about being Hawkeyes their whole lives.

It would be nice if Kriener could have an influence on Dykstra to become a Hawk. I assume they are at the same high school and probably know each other.

Levi Duwa is another one. Gopher offer but I think Iowa eventually offers. Many think he can add weight and become a Mitch King type. Physical with a great motor.

Vance visited IowA to get his picture taken for Lemmings publication more than to see IowA. He is 17 years old or so and may change his mind about ISU but wouldn't predict that now. I think Duwa's a better bet if offered

2017 looks to have the potential to be one of our best classes. I'm really liking the line recruits on both sides of the ball. We've got some exciting kids still showing significant interest too. If the ball keeps rolling for us this class could be special.

Vance has 1 offer and he took it. I would imagine if Iowa or MSU, the other 2 schools listed as showing interest in him, pulled the trigger on him there is a very good chance he would change his mind. He couldn't get his picture taken at ISU or send Lemming a pic? Yeah, I'm sure the only reason he visited Iowa was for a photo op.

I seem to remember thinking that the ship has sailed on Vance. After his visit I was reading interviews and I remember not getting a good vibe at all.

I would guess that if somebody other than ISU offered, his vibe would turn into pants tent.

I have no vibe or inside info on Vance. I just know that since he visited the rival of the school he is committed to there is some mutual interest there.

2017 is a very solid group of instate talent and Iowa is cleaning up.

There was a story in the lounge about it. He left right after the photo op and when questioned about his visit he sounded very bitter that he didn't get an offer while on campus.

I would assume that if Iowa hasn't offered by now, especially a kid from just down the road in CR, there is probably a reason that Iowa has stayed away.
