Anybody have the pleasure of having these? I had my first one yesterday morning. I woke up about 3 am in the morning with severe abdominal pain on one side. I went to work at 6 in the morning, by 6:30 I asked a coworker to take me to the hospital because the pain was making me see stars and I was throwing up. They did a cat scan that showed the stone. Gave me some pain meds and sent me on my way. I passed the stone this morning. It felt great getting that out of me.

There are RULES here!!!

I've seen people in the throes of passing one. I can think of only a few people I'd wish that on, and Hitler is dead.

11 stones on my resume. No, not because of diet or lifestyle, rather a less than normal-functioning parathyroid gland. I usually get one a year, but they have been getting larger with age. My last three required lithotripsies and stents, which is probably worse than dealing with the short-lived pain of a "normal" stone...

The good news is, my pain tolerance is AMAZING!

I had them at age 28 and it was the worst pain ever. I remember going to piss and it going in like 3 streams as it was passing.

As soon as the splash it the toilet I flushed as I didnt want to see it and I laid on the floor not moving for a while.

JFC man. Ts and Ps

Had my first at age 18. Think the count is up to a bakers dozen . To be honest the last couple were not very painful and I passed them easily

Some have been ridiculous though . The worst is when they pull stent out of you wiener while you are awake. Just not a pleasant sensation

Oh yes, the "you might feel some light pressure" comment while they're scoping out the stent...my ass! Plus, that lidocaine jelly they pump down your dong stings like hell and doesn't help at all. It's bad enough that you're laying naked below the waist on a cold table, but the nurses ALWAYS seem to be hot, as well.

Drink plenty of water the rest of the week so you don't have to go to the ER again.

Three times. First was the worst because I didn't know what it was and thought I was dying.

Incredible pain.
