King Kong starring Jessica Lange.

It's on AMC currently and I thought I'd mention how odd it was that the director/producer took such a huge chance on an unknown actress at that time. Lange was only known for modeling at the time she was cast to be in King Kong, yet went on to a highly distinguished career. Charles Grodin was fantastic as the weasel expedition director.
Minor nitpicks from the movie: Her clothes stayed on way too much, and if Kong was a gorilla why did he walk upright?

I remember when the movie came out even though I was a wee lad at the time. It was a blockbuster of a movie for the era, and it's release was highly anticipated. They could have gotten a famous actress, but maybe they wanted the fresh faced Lange?
