Any idea why he was basically left out of the game plan? He had a ton of big plays up the seam over the course of the year. Did not record a catch in the RB and didn't notice him tageted much, if at all, during the game.

He's my new favorite player since I heard his girlfriend is Claire Till of the women's basketball team.
Because I know someone will ask...

No idea. I asked the same thing all game. We should have seen more Wadley earlier too.
yea, there were several strange things like that going on. Tevaun was basically left out (though it's hard to tell because CJ never had time). I was irritated that we weren't throwing downfield more than 10 yards, allowing them to just sit at the line of scrimmage and stop the run/short passing game...on and on.

But we just got beat. Everyone shared blame.

No downfield throws until later. Too late. GD system. I noticed several patterns ran just short of the 1st down marker. Surprisingly

It's tough to throw it downfield when your QB has about 2 seconds to get rid of the ball. I, too, would have liked to have seen more downfield throws, but the pass protection just wasn't there. We probably ran several plays intended to get the ball downfield that ended in sacks. Tough to get many receivers involved in the game plan when the QB is running for his life all day.

I'm still having a hard time understanding how Stanford's D-line just manhandled our O-line. Biggest surprise of the game for me by far. You knew McCaffrey would get his yards (although maybe not to that degree) and that Stanford would move the ball and score points, but I think most assumed that we'd be able to score with them or at least keep it competitive.

To me it looked like the 3-4 defense had the O-line more confused than anything. The Stanford players knew where are the gaps were, they definitely did their homework for this game. I'm wondering why we haven't employed a 3-4 defense with all the LB success we have had. I think throwing that wrinkle into the defense would do a lot of good.

He got hurt but also there was very little time to throw. Also the broadcasters pointed out that when Beathard broke out of the pocket his WRs weren't trying to get open. They ran their routes and then stopped making it easy for them to be defended and no where for Beathard to throw the ball.

Kittle had suffered from a week long flu bug. He actually lost 12-15 pounds. He snaps were very limited. We had several others who also were bit by the bug during bowl prep.

Thanks for answering the question. Would have liked it, but didn't want to be viewed as pro-flu.

I thought this might help you dispense of your 'theory'.
From left to right: Claire Till, Carly Mohns, Whitney Jennings, Kali Peschel (from their European trip this summer).

I think Della Donne dispelled the theory, but this doesn't hurt either.

The only reason to ever use M1, as I can see it, is if you get a bunch, like 8-10 or more. Otherwise, why go through all the work? I personally use M2, it's must much easier. But I can see where some might struggle with M1 if ranking larger groups.

M2 is certainly my preferred method. Why re-arrange when you don't have to? M1 just seems silly.
