Kobe King commits to.....

Wow, Fred takes the transfer route a lot. Guess he doesn't have to recruit in high school gyms as much. I think Fran likes that part of coaching.

Meh. Freddie must be hardup. KK isn't anything to write home about. I do not see that changing for his senior year.

It's a solid get for Fred and an upgrade from what they currently have.

Fred wont be able to turn it around as fast as he did at Iowa St. Why? The transfer market is different now as nearly all schools are out trying to get those guys, which wasnt the case 10 years ago.

Plus at Iowa St he had a future AA transfer in (Royce White) and a freshman that would eventually be a B12 POY (Ejim). He wont have that at Nebraska any time soon.

Fred's making use of the opportunities available to him. Absolutely makes sense with his known distaste for recruiting.

I don't know about him turning nebby into a basketball power. But, I wouldn't count him out as far as getting them to be competitive and making the NCAA tourney in the next couple of years.

If he can get a win at the NCAA tournament they'd probably rename Pinnacle Bank Arena after him!

I wish Kobe well. Coach Hoiberg's style of play should be a better fit for him.
I have been watching him for 3 years and I still don't know what style of ball King plays. He does not have great athleticism. He seems to have a descent mid range game. His handle is not great. He does not finish well around the rim.

I assume he's going to get a waiver for immediate eligibility due to the weightlifting coaches racist rants.
You really don't have a good handle on what actually happened. He retold a story to 3 walk-on players about an ex-Chicago Bull who had used the N-word in a humorous situation. By all accounts Hellend used the actual N-word..in his 3rd party story. Someone told King the story and he he repeated the non story to UW officials in an exit interview. some believe he did it as a wedge to get immediate eligibility. There was no racism just poor judgement by a white man using the N-word in any context whatsoever.
