Could be completely wrong here but I think Krikke will be key for us this year. This is based on a whole two games so far, but love his hustle and low post play. Three point shooting will come and go but he could be a solid inside presence. Problem is I see no one behind him... if he gets in foul trouble in any game I think we're screwed.

I'm warming up to Ben, but he will never be a player that elevates to grab a rebound, still I think he's better then Rebraca.

Krikke looks like a gamer and is a physical presence we need. May have to get him out when closing out games and it is free throw shooting time.

Fran said in the postgame you only have depth if you play your guys. I think we'll be seeing a lot of Freeman and company this season.
The challenge is not no one behind Krikke, as Freeman has obvious talent. The challenge will be that there is limited depth behind them at the moment, thus why you won’t see them on the court together much until there are more bodies there.

I''m not sure he's a "physical presence". Dude can shoot the mid range game, and has some post moves, (mostly to his left), but he's not a plus rebounder, and I'm just hoping he doesn't give up almost as many points on the defensive end as he scores.

How long before an announcer makes Ben one of his, "Krik-key" players of the game for Iowa. I can see the sweet graphic now.

Dembele and Brauns, Sandfort is the starting 4.

This is the deepest front line in quite a few years.
