Kris Murray shining in Summer League.

A voice of reason? How refreshing @InsaneHawkJJP.
Thanks!
No probs, thanks for the info! Some people just can’t see the wolf through the sheep’s skin. It’s sad, but it is what it is. I used to engage people like that, but then I realized I’m just as bad as them when I do, so I stopped engaging and started ignoring. I highly suggest others do the same with certain posters. This place would be a lot better without ALL the bickering. I’ll stop bickering now, sorry!

You aren't bickering, more common sense words. Be a great board if everyone had your attitude.

I agree, these boards have gone to hell in a hand basket, whatever that means. Seriously, can anyone tell me where that expression comes from?
Seriously though. From the *****official***** BS(excluding game threads), to the obvious trolls people just have to engage with, and the lack of any consistent moderation these days, it’s becoming almost unbearable to visit these boards.

he scored 0 with 4 RBs his first game. Also see ....

****How is Kris doing**** official thread.
Actually, he had 10 points in his first game and zero in his second. In the game he scored zero, he took 2 shots. If you watched the games, you would know that the guards on Portland are the epitome of ball hogs. It's always wise to have firsthand knowledge as opposed to listening to others or reading a stat line.

Kris will be fine if he can 3 and D. I think he can at a level to stick with any team.
Yup. Even moreso than Keegan, that will ultimately be his role in the NBA.

Keegan was relegated to that his rookie year while learning the ropes and working to adjust to the speed and physicality of the pro game. That's partially why he played in (and dominated) a couple of summer league games these past few weeks.

Keegan can have a bit more of a role than just "stand here and wait for the ball to come to you and shoot if, and only if, you're open.......and then pretend to play NBA defense".

With Kris, I just think his skill set and slightly more slender frame will keep him from being anything more than described above...........but he certainly has the tools to make a career out of doing just that in today's "preferred" version of the NBA.

I couldn't care less who has an "official" thread and who doesn't. I didn't even notice someone asked you to make it official.
Matter if fact I didn't even remember this thread existed when I posted about Kris. I have no interest in being a message board hero.
I'm just here to enjoy the content people like you post and to occasionally start a post if it suits my whims.

It is safe to say you don't take your message boarding as serious as Fran does.

Summer league ticket prices have really dropped since VW was announced as being done for the summer

"Going to hell in a handbasket", "going to hell in a handcart", "going to hell in a handbag", "go to hell in a bucket",[1] "sending something to hell in a handbasket" and "something being like hell in a handbasket" are variations on an allegorical locution of unclear origin, which describes a situation headed for disaster inescapably or precipitately.

Possible origins

The origin of the phrase has been much debated. Its usage may be dated to the baskets used to catch guillotined heads in the eighteenth century. Early visualizations of the phrase might possibly be associated with religious iconography such as the stained glass windows of Fairford Church in Gloucestershire and Hieronymus Bosch's painting The Haywain, circa 1515, which portrays a large cart of hay being drawn by "infernal beings that drag everyone to Hell"

So it's an allegorical locution of unclear origin, 🤷‍♀️

Here is a quote from Scoot Henderson on Keegan Murray from an interview with Kevin O'Connor with The Athletic. Remember, plagiarists, it is always important to cite where you get your information.

O’Connor: How would you describe Kris Murray to somebody who’s never seen him play?
Scoot: He’s a silent assassin. He’ll wet it up from deep. He can get in there, he can get in the paint. He gets the play off. He’s the best if he can attack the basket. Kris is fun to play with. It’s easy to play with Kris. He spaced the floor a lot, but he can also pump-fake and get in the paint himself.

I should clarify, he only played one summer league game this year.
There's little doubt in my mind that Keegan joined the league about as NBA READY as a player could be so I don't think a statistical comparison is necessary. He was a truly dominant college player his final year whereas Kris was just really good. I think Keegan is an all star within the next few years. Kris I think carves out a nice career. Be very interesting to see how he progresses this year and next.

Good points. It will be good to watch them both develop.
