KRIS

The great thing about this team is that everyone is an offensive threat. Kris doesn't have to be Superman each game in order for us to win. Opponent defenders can't key on our entire team. It should serve us well at tourney time. I'm pumped! GO HAWKS!!

I think that’s an amazing thing about Kris….most of his points he gets in the flow of the offense. The shots/scoring don’t stand out a lot other than the occasional shots that are fade aways, or end of half, etc…and I love it that he just does the work and doesn’t change expressions….just doing the work.

Very quiet 19 points today,
Didn't think he had that many.
Not shocked by the 19. You missed some of those tough shots he hit. I know Connor, Ulis and Patrick barely scored. Connor was beyond bad in this game. Inexcusable that he played 29 minutes and was awful but people on here think that has nothing to do with his last name. Rebraca and Kris are basically getting 30-40 points a night to keep this team in every game. The guard play has been sporadic all year which is why it's going to be difficult to do anything in March for this team. This team overcomes its poor pg play every game.

Aren’t you a breath of fresh air? Who pissed in your cheerios?

Led the team in boards and assists too at 7 and 3 (not that those are overly impressive totals). Kinda weird when he scores 19 being illinois' top priority to stop and it gets yawns from the fanbase
Iowa got outrebounded by 12(?) and outscored in the paint. A quiet game but a very good one.

Rebraca was worse than Connor yesterda, until the end. Connor is in a bit of a shooting slump.

I’ve been impressed with Kris’s defense and ball handling the past few games. When we need a stop, it’s usually him. I think he’s playing strong with the ball and making some really tough drives. Should help his NBA stock.

Keegan had some nights like that too. Nights where he just faded into the background and put up pretty great stats.

Just shut it.

I was trying to say that he just quietly goes about his business and scores 19 behind a player that explodes. Always contributes when out of the spotlight.

Almost a Kris appreciation thread.

The 3pt shot at the end of the half by Kris certainly was noiticeable.

I would say the team is better with CMAC starting instead of PMAC starting.. The team is better off with PMAC coming off the bench behind Sandfort and playing 10-15 minutes per game. I don't think PMAC starting over Sandfort earlier in season was a problem while Sandfort was in shooting slump, but right now Sandfort is the better player, PMAC just doesn't get it done defensively and unwilling/unable to bang/defend/rebound in the paint. Occasionally he can get hot offensively and carry the team so coming off the bench for offense is something that suits him.

CMAC had zero points, 0-4 from field, and 1 rebound and 2 assists in 29 minutes and he got torched on defense by Mayer who was 7/9 ...maybe u could argue CMAC got into Mayer's head a little and the both ended up having foul trouble.

Rebraca had 13 pts was 5-11 and 2 rebounds and 2 assists, 2 steals and 1 TO...did not rebound well but I think he outplayed CMAC

Rebraca has started games recently by turning the ball over multiple times or throwing up bad shots. Hopefully, he can get it together at the beginning of games. I have a feeling Fran wants to start with the post to Rebraca to start games and Rebraca is forcing it a bit.
