Lack of Warships due to budget cuts

If this doesn't tell you everything you need to know nothing will. I love how right now it's bipartisan but as soon as the ink dries the Dems will be backpedaling like they have never even heard of the military. I'm sure our military is just so short of cash right now. Hey maybe stop fighting and arming every other nation we stumble across.

Perhaps if we stopped building a 337 million dollar plane that has 5 million lines of software without spell check capacity, 1,000 pounds of computers, cockpits so small the pilot can't turn his head because of a massive helmet, a fully ready version that will take just under 17 year to complete, and that ... wait for it ... can't defeat an F-16 or F-18 in a dogfight.

Whut? Our military is underfunded? It's tremendously overfunded, and that money is poorly spent. We have dozens of bases we could close, but there is a truly bipartisan effort to keep bases open even if they have no exceptional use. As mentioned we are spending gazillions on a new fighter plane that would be better spent elsewhere.
Transport ships aren't sexy enough.

Not sure if you are being sarcastic or not? We only spend as much as the next 13 fleets in the world combined, 11 of which belong to NATO. The United States Navy is also the only fleet in world truly capable of global force projection.

Hope you can sleep at night.

But what if the Navy is attacked by our Army and Air Force. How will they defend themselves. We need to put more money in the military coffers in case one branch attacks the other.

We're getting a $13 billion aircraft carrier next year. If the Navy, or the military as a whole, doesn't have enough money, it's their own fault.

This is a special kind of crazy.

When will the military get serious about reigning in their entitlements?

A pathetic liberal complaining about entitlements. Huh?? Pot meet kettle..
Sure, I know you and your various identities on this board aren't capable of civility, but, yes, let's talk about entitlements in the military budget. I get squat after 20 years at my company. That's capitalism. I invest in my own retirement. A vet gets a pretty sweet deal. I say pay more up front to increase the quality of the military, but, reduce benefits. It isn't my responsibility to pay lifetime benefits to someone who rose to mediocrity in the military. Verified injuries from service we owe the vet every penny they deserve. But, somebody that never left the continental US doesn't deserve lifetime medical or a pension from me.

You can't be serious. Get another job then or go into the military since it's so easy.
