I’m not a gambler. I know nothing about Vegas sports books other than they appear not to open until 7:30 or 8:00 AM at the earliest. This is potentially problematic b/c some friends and I are considering going to Vegas for a few days during the European Football Championship (aka Euro 2020) in June. Most days there is a match at 6AM Vegas-time. Ideally we’d like to watch that game and bet on it in the Sportsbook. For something like this, do you think they would open early? Anyone here have any experience w/The Euros or w/World Cups in Vegas w/early kickoffs?

I know the South Pointe is open 24 hours a day, but they are quite a ways from the Strip.

When you first get there you can get an APP perhaps from the book where you are staying and load it so you can bet at anytime.

I’m more concerned about being able to watch the matches on the monster screens, but betting is a factor too.
Circa Sports should have them on big screen.
They are downtown. More screens than anybody. Mike Palm , from Dubuque, will make sure they are on at Circa. He is a big shot there. Loves soccer. Good handicapper.

I haven't been in a while but I thought Cesars was up 24/7. That has always been at the top of the stack as far as sports books.

That's the one I was hoping to go to. Their website says it opens at 8AM on weekdays and 7:30AM on weekends. 🤷‍♂️

As mentioned South Point is 24 hours, I have been there a couple times for stuff at the arena and always been treated really well, the Sports Book is nice play to catch a game.

Thanks, we'll look into South Point. Was hoping to stay more central, on the strip, but if that's the best place, then we'll head there.

As mentioned, ask the concierge where you guys are staying. I have not been since COVID but have heard every place is overaccommodating to people right now. They may open the sports book early

Have fun. I hope you find a place on the strip that opens early. Maybe a nearby sports bar (place your early bets the night before) would work for the early game........although 6am might be a tad difficult. Some of the best people-watching in the world takes place in Vegas between 4-8 am.

Caesar's is my favorite sportsbook, btw.

Amazing sportsbook. Was down there for the first two rounds of the ncaa tournament and ventured there a few times for betting. Didn’t pay to sit in there though, as they were asking an arm and a leg for tables and the recliners during tournament games; but would definitely go back.

Not trying to be a smart-ass, but a phone call to a few sports books on the strip would probably be the safest play here.

I haven't been since covid BUT in the past the seating is open and tvs are on 24/7. You may want to place your bets the night before just in case the windows aren't open but you won't have a problem watching the game. We typically post up at the Mirage or MGM at about 8:00am for a football Saturday/Sunday and there are always groups a couple buckets deep watching soccer.

All those screens and boards were manufactured in Brookings, South Dakota. Daktronics.

People on this board call South Dakota backwards and full of hillbillies.

I looked at them online. I figured that was as good as a call but if need be I will call for sure.

Is the ESPN Zone still open in the MGM? I think that was where it was. Anyway, I was in Vegas one time and heard a bunch screaming and yelling early in the day and it was from the ESPN Zone. I bet there were a 100 or so soccer fans there watching a big event. Not a soccer guy, but they were dressed in their team colors and getting pretty sauced watching the game. Looked like a great place to watch the games if you are into soccer. Sports book is right outside the door of the bar there. My two cents.

Crown and Anchor Pub on East Tropicana (right by UNLV and the Thomas & Mack) is a great dive bar which caters to soccer fans. Good food, too. Obviously open 24 hours.

I would recommend getting your wagers in the night before and watching a match or two at the Crown.

I thought ESPN was at New York New York. Also believe it closed.
