Like 93 said, I don't think there is any way to tell for sure how many guns or ammo are in this country. However, the premise of the meme still holds true. Nitpicking at something like the actual number of ammo doesn't change anything.
If the math is off by a factor of a hundred or more, I wouldn't exactly call that nitpicking.

I have only been buying ammo for 2 or 3 years and i have around 8,000 rounds. Many friends with much more than that.
Many others that reload. It isnt uncommon for many individuals to have 50,000 rounds or more.

Sure it is, because the actual number doesn't have anything to do with the point. The point is that there are a lot of guns and ammo in the hands of responsible owners, and if those owners wanted you to have a problem, you would have a problem.
