I don't mean to rain on your parade, but "Hoosiers" and Crispus Attucks High School really have no common thread, unless you want to connect the losing coach in the movie Hoosiers (actor Ray Crowe, former coach at Crispus Attucks High School) to Crispus Attucks High School.

In real life, the small high school, Milan High School defeated the big high school Muncie Central in the 1954 state finals in Indiana..

I assume that your idea of the best player ever may be Oscar Robertson of Crispus Attucks High School (no argument here), but he was a few years after the 1954 meeting between Milan and Muncie Central, and the movie Hoosiers.

Oscar Robertson, and his high school Crispus Attucks, did stand out a few years later in the regular season and won the Indiana state high school tournament, before his stellar career at the University of Cincinnati.
