I am clicking as fast as I can but Gable Steveson is still ahead of Spencer by over 100 votes... I need help!
Make sure your vote is counting. After you reach a certain point you'll get the message, "Thank you, we have already counted your vote."
Here's the problem.... Every Minnesota fan is voting for Gable and the Iowa Fans are splitting their votes. Warner went from 23.2% of the vote to 22.63 in just about 20 minutes. Gable is coming on fast..... We may need to decide (between Lee and Warner)who we want to win this thing and all Iowa fans need to go Big on one guy...

He should be the Wrestler of the year. Only one with a gold medal AND undefeated record. Spencer would have won it easily without that Larry Owings loss.
So....the poll meant nothing?? I'm confused. Was the poll just to show people's opinions, but someone else made the decision on who got the award?

No one has argued against Steveson being deserving - the issue is that it appeared to be an award determined by the voting public, and that didn't happen.
Exactly my point. I have no problem with Steveson winning that award because he is very much deserving, but why have the poll at all?
I'm assuming it was like most polls with a fan component where the fan vote counts for a small % - to prevent electronic ballot stuffing. That said, there's usually a disclaimer explaining this and there doesn't appear to be one.

We want your input into who should win our top honor, which will be determined by the USA TODAY High School Sports staff.
So you can infer that they'll use the fan vote as a data point, but that's all. They want your input clicks), but not really
